prior knowledgeMy desire to learn more about the intersection of technology and education is rooted in my prior knowledge. I consider myself to be a "digital native". I don't think of myself as an immigrant. The roots of technology run deep in my life, and it is interesting to look back after forty years of life. I have lived and grown up with technology, and it is as much a part of my life as it is in my students' lives. I have always embraced the change and functionality of new technology in my life and believe that this is a very important part of our world. As technology becomes increasingly present in all aspects of our lives, I believe that educators have a responsibility to remain current and to be able to offer a balanced perspective on technology to the students that they teach.
